Random Musics of a Socialite pt.13

Morning,

I think this is the closest together I've written an entry to another entry! I don't know what's happening to me!

I work too much, I've found out that between the pool and Sainsbury's I'm working about 41 hours this week. I worked 11 hours yesterday at the pool, and then today worked 5 1/2 hour at the pool and 4 hours at Sainsbury's, I'm rather shattered. But it's ok cus I have tomorrow off, so I can spend the day tomorrow teaching the little ones and being flustered at.

Oh my, David's echoing all over the show! I really should stop with the singing on Skype thing cus if I don't I will have no friends. But it's ok cus I pay my friends well. ;]

Ben is making fun of me =(

Now I don't know what to write! this is what happens when I write things too near to each other! They become all samey and the same thing. I like dark nights, I like it when its a clear cold dark night so that I can wear my jacket and look nice AND be warm AND walk around the place. I had a strange vision the other night but it's ok because I think I managed to forget it. I like working at the Merrick but I hate Jill my Duty Officer. She told me how to scrub drains today. Like I haven't been doing it for the past TWO YEARS! NO!! Grr.

Ellie's pregnant. =) It's David's.

Random Musings of a Socialite pt.11

Morning,

Wow, I seem to be good at this 'forgetting the password and not communicating with people for ages' thing.. But hey, its not as is anyone really reads these things anyway!

I had loads of fun at work the other day, I think I should get shot for even uttering those words but I really did. It's actually fun to get back to Merrick after Sainsburys, cus Sainsbury's is just so damn boring!

F'r instance, the other day I turned up at Sainsburys and found out the freezers fellow, the car park chap and the back door bloke are all off for various reasons, and also the checkout was undermanned. So yes, I slept well that night.

Good grief, I've just read over those last few paragraphs and by gum I'm boring! I used to spend my time on here philosophising about how my brain should be canonised, and now I just moan about work. Well NO MORE! *stands proudly* oooh, Thomas O'Malley just came on iTunes..

'telling my friends of the social elite, or some cute cat that I happen to meet...' et al

I'm sure you know the words.

I have a duck and a cow cup looking at me from their vantage point on my desk with EVERYTHING else, I really should clean this place up. But meh, it's not gonna be mine for long so.. }=)

oooh in other news, I got my hair cut! And ate Mint Imperials! And I've also learnt most of my script! (I'm Beast in Beauty and the Beast pantomime *pauses for applause*)

And I've decided, after much thought, the part which I would most like to play ever is Major-General Stanley from Gilbert & Sullivan's famous 'Pirates of Penzance'.. I already know a lot of the script, thanks to the wonders of internet.

There's a dead naked bird downstairs waiting to be cooked, so I'll go now.

Random Musings of a Socialite pt. 10

Morning.

I realise it's been ages since I wrote on this blog, and that's because what with one thing and another I didn't write on it for a week, and by that time, being the beautiful person I am, I forgot the password. So by the time I got back on here, I was well and truly stunted.

But hye-ho, here I am. Ready for another little adventure kiddies? Let's take another trip to the magical land of rain-induced and bored-stimulated Toby.

Since I last wrote on here, I've got another job, been accepted into uni, left school, been bored, worked my two jobs, been bored, started saving for uni, been bored, had a breakup with Laurie, been bored, landed a leading part in a pantomime, and talked on MSN to lots of people about lots of things. That kinda sums it up. There's been good bits and lots of bad bits, but I won't sully this amazing blog by talking about the bad bits. Will I..

One of the bestest things that's happened has been Cefn Lea. I haven't been to Cefn Lea for ages, and quite a few of you won't have the foggiest what Cefn Lea is. But to explain, I'd have to delve deep in my history, and I can't be bothe.... ah, screw it. Here goes.

I've been homeschooled until I was like 15-16 which I think, remembering back, I might have mentioned in an earlier blog. So I don't need to go as far back. Well my mummy, amazing person that she is, organises every year this holiday week for loads of homeschoolers across this nation of ours. It's held at Cefn Lea Holiday Park. So naturally, is known as 'Cefn Lea'. Because I was at school the last couple of years, and my mother didn't have the heart to either change the date of Cefn Lea or, maybe more feasible, go to Parliament and change the Scottish Education Curriculum, I couldn't go. But this year cus I'd left school foreverandeverandeveramen, I COULD go.

Twas immense. We embaressed Ben, made new friends, played football, watched DVD's.. I performed in the concert and recieved a sort of sitting down apathetic ovation, three times. We had a Battleball tournament, which David, Chris, Jonny and I totally owned at, and at which I lasted for over 10 minutes one-on-one with a little turd who didn't play the rules but didn't officially cheat, and then in which we squashed Ben and his little team at.. (For those who don't know what Battleball is, go to wikipedia. S'a great website)

And haha, Ben and his little friends decided to have a beatbox session and recorded it of a camera they'd 'borrowed' from a girl called Hannah. So when Hannah and I got the camera back, we decided to humiliate them by putting it up on the screen at the concert. They WEREN'T happy.. If you wants to see the video, YouTube 'Dingbertpen' and watch it there.

Anyway, I have to go hoover the stairs now. Yes, it's the price of being home all the time, you get used as a general lackey..

The Random Musings of a Socialite pt 9

Morning,

I think this is my first blog in June. And here was I thinking I'd do one a day. Well I'm not that good at speaking, and to be honest I only really write on here when a) I'm in the mood, and b) I'm near my laptop or other computer.

Did I tell you my laptop's name is Jermain? I called it after the oh-so-sexy guitarist out of Flight of the Conchords, who's name is Jermain. Not to be confused with the not-so-sexy guitarist out of Flight of the Conchords, who's name is Brett.

Now I'm listening to Queen 'Invisible Man'. Me and Josh had an idea about this song. (More on Josh later) If any of you know this song, you can read on. If you've never heard it, listen to it on YouTube then read on. =)

Well, you know how in the song the names of the band members are shouted out at random points in the song? Well we thought it'd be a better Idea if they were shouted out when the instrument they played joined into the song.. As far as I remember the order goes 'Freddie Mercury, John Deacon, Roger Taylor, Brian May'.. But I may wrong. So I've started the song again to make sure.

Anyway, I suppose I'd better go now, after that pearl of knowledge.

The Random Musings of a Socialite pt 8

Morning

Casting Crowns - Voice of Truth

'Oh,what I would do to have
the kind of faith it takes
To climb out of this boat I'm in
Onto the crashing waves
To step out of my comfort zone
Into the realm of the unknown
Where Jesus is,
And he's holding out his hand

But the waves are calling out my name
and they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times
I've tried before and failed
The waves they keep on telling me
time and time again
"Boy, you'll never win,
you'll never win."

But the voice of truth tells me a different story
the voice of truth says "do not be afraid!"
and the voice of truth says "this is for my glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

Oh, what I would do
to have the kind of strength it takes
To stand before a giant
with just a sling and a stone
Surrounded by the sound
of a thousand warriors
shaking in their armor
Wishing they'd have had the strength to stand

But the giant's calling out
my name and he laughs at me
Reminding me of all the times
I've tried before and failed
The giant keeps on telling me
time and time again
"Boy you'll never win,
you'll never win."

But the voice of truth tells me a different story
the voice of truth says "do not be afraid!"
and the voice of truth says "this is for my glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

But the stone was just the right size
to put the giant on the ground
and the waves they don't seem so high
from on top of them looking down
I will soar with the wings of eagles
when I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus
singing over me

But the voice of truth tells me a different story
The voice of truth says "do not be afraid"
And the voice of truth says "this is for my glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me (calling out to me)
I will choose to listen and believe (I will choose to listen and believe)
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

I will listen and believe
I will listen and believe the voice of truth
I will listen and believe
'Cause Jesus you are the voice of truth
And I will listen to you.. oh you are'

I do like that song, it's amazing. =) Mark Hall is a great lyricist.

Anyway, still here, still burned..

I woke up this morning with achy-breaky skin.. And then we were bundled off to a garden fete with Laurie's mum. It was fun in the parts where I found shade to nurse myself, but then we decided to go a walkabout the garden, and I felt distinctly woozy halfway round and had to hide it from people.. I almost fainted, but it's ok because then I had a steak pie and copious amounts of tea. s'nice.

Then we watched my new film which was good and ate pizza, raisins and chocolate. And I read Judge Dredd and Laurie draped yoghurt and cucumber over my sunburn because she's amazing like that.

A good day, all in all.

The Random Musings of a Socialite pt 7 (oops)

Morning,

How are you all right now? I imagine a good deal of you will be in bed asleep right now, but I suppose you could take the 'right now' to mean 'right when you read this blog' in which I highly doubt you're asleep. You could be in bed, but that's a little lazy, and co-incidentally the reason why I moved my desk.

I have bad sunburn, so you should by rights be feeling VERY sorry for me. Right now. Because surprisingly I'm pretty much sunburned all over, even though I was fully respectable with shorts on.

You see, we've just come back from a night away in the sticks camping with my family. There was 8 of us, three tents and one night away which managed to fill an entire car. And is you've seen the size of our car, you'd also be impressed. The tents were up, we went on a lovely walk and got lost, got back to the site with lots of pilfered firewood, made the fire, got told off for making the fire too soon, cut toasting sticks and roasted various things, and generally an enjoyable time was had by all..

Then the next morning I burned myself. And that's a lot of what you need to know.

Oh, who else is rather annoyed that Susan Boyle didn't win Britains Got Talent?! Ellie will hate me for mentioning this, she doesn't like that show.. but inversely she likes Gossip Girl and 90210.. so she can be relied upon for a good opinion of TV..

But anyway, yeah, Susan Boyle. She's been through so much as BGT, and she really deserved to win.. But mind you, Diversity were also really good.. but so were Flawless, and they weren't even in the top three.. I didn't think Julian Smith was good really.

Anyway, I'm going to stop talking about this now, because Ellie really will hit me. And I have sunburn, so it'd hurt..

The Random Musings of a Socialite pt 6

Good Morning,

I seem to writing on here even more intermittently then before.. There is a good reason, I assure those of you who care..

I had my Advanced Maths exam today, and I think I can safely say I gout about 33% of it correct. By 'it' I mean the title page. The exam itself was a lot harder.

I've spent the last two days in the upper part of a tucked away park revising for the exam with my good friend Ellie. We revised, revised and then revised. Apart from today, when we were joined by two other people who insisted on putting us off our revision as much as possible. Then fannying around when we put our books away til we had to return to 'the particular solution to asecond order differentional equations with real and incidental roots'. Believe me, these little buggers can really annoy..

In better news, it's my girlfriends birthday tomorrow, she will be 16. This is good news to be shared by all, if only for the fact that it means she's officially legal and above-board when we do naughty things like drink booze. The unfortunate thing is that I've been in a state of large and big pennilessness, so I've had to make this quite an economic birthday present.. I'll tell you what I got her some other time, in case she reads this before tomorrow. deal?

Ah, good ol' Team America soundtrack has come on.. 'I miss you more the Michael Bay missed the mark, when he made Pearl Harbour, I miss you more than that movie missed the point, and that's an awful lot girl..' =D

Anyway, I suppose I better get back to watching my little 3 yr old brother, he's probably invading Poland right about now..

The Random Musings of a Socialite pt 5

Well hello, I've not been on here for a while so I figured I should write something..

I've just spent the last hour of my life designing a PotC hoodie for when I just need to express myself. I feel the best way I can do this is in a hoodie which shows my passion, and I don't particularly think Laurie wants her face on my hoodie. =)

I have two exams this week and another one next week. I think I really shoudl be revising instead of chatting to you lot. But boundless is the folly of man, I suppose. Ooh, that sounds almost proverbial. Can you tell I just made that up?

I do like reading books.

I think my train of thought should be put into a small jar and arrested for aggressive abuse of thinking. I honestly go through life and my brain is about forty words in front of my mouth so when I have too much to say, which is often, I usually just miss out the non-important, or not-as-interesting bits. Like for instance, the previous two paragraphs, the linking train of thought goes something like this.

good proverb - literacy - anagrams - book that I'm reading has anagrams - its a good book - I like reading it - I like reading books generally.

I think you may have lost interest in this subject a while back. I know that I stopped thinking about it a long time ago and now I'm thinking about eggcups. But anyway, I'll leave you to wonder what the connection is.

2000 BC - An ageing Conan the Barbarian notices that his thews aren't as mighty as they used to be. Depressed, he eats a carton of ice-cream, and washes it down with bourbon.
993 - Saint Skeet Ulrich of Augsburg canonized. Unfortuantely, they used too much powder and he overshot the catch net.
1776 - King George III receives a letter from the colonies; throws it out thinking that it's yet another menu from a pizza restaurant.
1862 - Abraham Lincoln proclaims an end to the American Civil War. He waits a moment, then yells "Psych!"
1917 - American troops in Flanders attempt to recreate the famous Christmas Truce of 1914 by holding a 4th of July barbeque in No Man's Land. The results are predictable.
1969 - Birth of Will Smith. The world rejoices. Warring forces in Vietnam, Czechoslovakia and Detroit lay down their arms, and join together in ushering in the new Golden Age of Mankind.
1996 - Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum save the world by infecting the alien mothership with a computer virus, thus continuing the time-honored tradition of infections saving the world from aliens. Will Smith tries to take all the credit, but Jeff Goldblum threatens to sic his Jewish father on him.
1997 - Will Smith Day becomes an official worldwide celebration.
2007 - You sit at a computer. Why not go outside and get some fresh air? And watch the stars, the sky, and that huge metal ball that somehow didn't hit that comet but changed his path towards you? Yeah, it's following you. Get an umbrella or go to the subways.

And that's what Unclycopedia says.

The Random Musings of a Socialite pt 4

Morning.

Well it hardly seems like three days since I started blogging..

It's mine and Laurie's 3-month anniversary, according to her. I still think it should go from 13th to 13th, but let's humour her.. Three months of being affiliated to the most amazing girl I could want. =) She got me mints! I love mints. mmm mints.. ^_^ And I offered one to my Engineering teacher and told him that they were a 3-month anniversary, and he said 'awww' and ate it. I like to think it tasted better for it. =)

On This Day:

0 - First Ninja Pirate born. He is easily confused with Jesus and ends up killing said Jesus and takes his place. He is worshipped in Christianity.
616 - Pope Eggs Benedict IV declares that Spain does not exist
927 - The fucking Vikings do something really nasty, they create Norway
1865 - Abraham Lincoln turns down tickets to the Ice Capades in order to see a play
1975 - The Year 1975 is misplaced in History
1914 - Stand-up British gents die jolly-good deaths in World War I
1927 - Everybody gets depressed
1930 - First person ever born on this date.
1931 - First person to ever be born on this date is found dead of a heroin overdose. Everyone is sad.
1935 - Prozac is invented, entering the market under the auspicious title World War II
1982 - Pope Jean Paul II readmits Spain to existance, apologizes for his forepope's bigotry
1986 - Ronald Reagen weeps publically, after being called a 'nosey meddler' by Nicarauans. Sandinistas lead GLOBAL COMMUNIST REVOLUTION resulting with complete annihilation of life. God reported to be 'alcoholic and whore-mongering'.
1993 - First use of the word LOL in recorded history
2008 - With all the success of his book, James Madison takes a relaxing vacation in Purgatory. Where there was much rejoicing!
2012 - The word LOL is finally added to the Oxford dictionary, despite numerous protests from people such as Stephen Fry.

That's  what Uncyclopedia.com says.

Can't really top that tbh..

The Random Musings of a Socialite pt 3

Morning =)

I missed the school bus, on my fourth last day. I think I must be the coolest kid on the block..

That was Sarcasm, if you hadn't noticed.

I 'm very proud of the fact that I was hungry, walked into a shop, rejected the chocolat and junk food, and went straight for the clementines. I ate 6. And found 3 pips. I love the clementine.. It's not pippy, like the mandarin, or bloody hard to open like the tangerine. Ah such simple things can give one joy if one lets it.

Now I'm at school, the service bus journey took me 2 hours, and I arrived to go straight to Engineering, only to find that all they were involved in doing was staining the trebuchet and writing a presentation, both of which could easily have been done with no help from me. I never have, or never will, pretend to be any more than average at handling a paint brush and pot. In fact, if we take a proper average of everyone, including children and Polish people (who as everyone knows are exempt from most normal averages) then I'm quite a way behind average. So I stood around looking clever and slightly hot and bothered until the break, when I frantically ran around looking for sponsors for the Half-Marathon I'm running.

Want to sponsor?

I just re-read that last paragraph (well the last-but-one, the last one says 'Want to sponsor?' and that's not what was bothering me) and I realised that you probably don't know either a) what a trebuchet is, or b) why the hell we have one in our class. Well let me illucidate here. In my Engineering class we originally had four modules, Structures, Dynamics, Power Generation and Electronics. Now we scuppered Electronics, and instead decided to build a working model of a trebuchet. It's about 2m high, and a thing o' beauty. And if you want to know what a trebuchet is, go and find out on wikipedia, you lazy bastard.

=)

Ok, I better head off now, I'll probably add to this post later on.

Cheeribye

Though I'm proud to call you chocolat bear,

The Random Musings of a Socialite pt 2 - Ellie

This here blog is written especially about my very dear friend Ellie.

She's the person who keeps me stuck to the ground with my head in the clouds. She makes nice eye-smiles, and she's special in the heart and not the head. We have a huge room composed completely of corners, but it's ok because the nuzzling corner (one of my favourite places to be) is the biggest and the comfiest so it's alright. I'm Mr Scufflefurker to her, and she's princess to me. =)

I often mouth-serenade her to sleep when she doesn't like it, and once or twice I've told her a little story by a fellow known as Shakespeare. Mind you, I DID paraphrase a lot. Also I told her the tale of Jon Banks, or Banksy as we know him. I also recall a bloke called Thomas who did nothing in his life whatsoever, but Ellie seemed to like him.

Pterodactyls and Tyrranosaurus' better watch out tbh, cus we've named sex positions and defined their sex lives to a tee. Yes we have. AND she has a nice laptop, as nice as mine. She's the first person to tell me to read Watchmen. She calls me her Superman. But I don't wear pants outside my trousers.. What is this paradox?! I beat her at Hula Hooping on Wii. And she beat me at Mario Kart. She likes Obama. And John Green. And me. I don't know why, but I like it. =)

I currently have her jumper, well my jumper, well.. I got a hoodie which I let her wore, and she wears it so much better than me that I promptly let her keep it. However I have it right now because she'd worn it so much that the Toby smell, that exotic aroma that pleases and weirds out so many people, had metaphorically flown away from it. So she returned it to me for a while, and now I have to wear it so that the Toby Smell will return to it and everybody is happy.

love you tbh..

The Random Musings of a Socialite. pt 1

Good morning,

I was just thinking not two minutes ago that the keys of my new laptop are awfully good at being pressed and it'd be a shame not to utilise them in something long-winded and often very boring and misspelt, but that people read because they're either a) businessmen with nothing else to do on long train journeys and they're not allowed porn, or b) 23-year old virgins who spend so long on MMORPG's that they crave something different and think this sort of thing will get them women.

Not that I'm saying anything against either MMORPG's, women or porn, but the three together would be THE most amazing game ever, you think? Like 'The MMORPPG'. I'm not giving any prizes to anyone that guesses the other P.

I think I can safely admit that I'm listening to the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack. I have a little fetish about soundtracks, I enjoy listening and yes, I do sing into my hairbrush at times.

well I suppose I'd better introduce myself. *puts on Rowan Atkinson voice* Good Evening. Now, as the more astute of you have realised, this is Hell. I am the Devil, but you can call me Toby. We like to keep things informal down here.. as well as infernal. *takes off Rowan Atkinson voice*

I'm Toby, I'm 18 and just about to leave school this week. This means I get to stay up late and surf for that MMORPPG thing.

Wow. I just sombered myself right up with that serious stuff. We're going to have to do something about this!

I'd like to thank my friends, my family, my girlfriend, my dog, my cat, my house, my imaginary friend, my chair for supporting me, my window for seeing me through, my laptop for giving me this opportunity, my..

oh wait, that reminds me. I need to name my laptop. Does anyone have any thoughts? I want something snappy and recognizable, which identifies it for what it is yet gives it a little personality. And while you're at it, I want it to sound bizarrely like 'Johnny Depp' and also 'Audrey Hepburn'. And it must be no more that 2 letters long.

Thanks.

Ok this really shows that I have no life when I return to an earlier blog because I'm bored.. However I was chastised before for not mentioning my good friend Andrew, so here's a lovely little shout out to him.

He's my best guy friend, is Andrew. The best way to describe him would be through interpretive dance, only I really can't be bothered uploading any clips right now. He's recently got himself a woman and I think he's still in shock over this discovery. A fact which is reinforced by the fact that at this late hour, he'll be in bed.

Well there we go Andrew, I hope you're happy I've lowered the tone of this once high-falutin' web blog just to include your sorry ass in there..

I'm now away to a certain nuzzling corner which is probably my favourite place to be..

Cheeribye..
